Once the changes are applied 3Com Network Director uses the new
community strings to communicate with the device.
Changing the community strings for a device only changes the
community strings that 3Com Network Director uses to communicate
with the device, it does not change the community strings on the device
itself.
Changing the
Monitoring Settings
The monitoring settings for devices and links allow you control the levels
of monitoring to perform for those items. In addition, monitoring
settings can be controlled for subnets, allowing you to specify
subnet-wide settings without having to configure the settings for each
individual item contained within the subnet.
