VIEWING DEVICE DETAILS
Overview This chapter describes how to view detailed information about your
networking equipment and apply new settings using the Properties
dialog box.
The Properties dialog box is available after the network has been
discovered.
It allows you to:
■ View detailed information about the items on the network map.
■ Specify custom information such as Custom Name and Comments for
the items on the network map.
■ Change the community strings that 3Com Network Director uses for
an individual device, or for several simultaneously.
■ Modify the monitoring options for an individual device, or for several
simultaneously.
■ Modify how 3Com Network Director communicates with an individual
device, or with several simultaneously
