Graphical Support for
Specific Device Types
Some device types have specific graphical support in the map. This
section provides details of the specific support provided.
NBX Network Telephony Solution

3Com Switch 4007
If you have an Enterprise Management Engine (EME) installed in your
Switch 4007 chassis, 3Com Network Director will treat the EME as a
blade within the chassis for presentation purposes. As a result, the EME
will not be represented as a separate icon on the map, and the Switch
4007 icon will be shown linked to the device that provides the EME with
it’s network connection point.
3Com Wireless Access Points
Wireless clients tend to be very transient in terms of connectivity
compared to other devices, and may frequently change their point of
connection. Rather than displaying these dynamically in the map as they
come and go, 3Com Network Director shows a single cloud attached to
each Wireless Access Point.
