HP Multipathing strategy on the Linux is to migrate customers from vendor spec iﬁc Multipathing to the

HPDM mult

ipathing solution.

HPDM Migration Prerequisites

Following are the migration prerequisites:

• Do not change the SAN conﬁguration during the migration process.

• Stop all applications, daemons, cluster ser vices that access the ﬁle system and Logic al Volumes on

the devices being migrated.

• Before starting the migration process, ensure Qlogic/Emulex driver i nstalled on the host must be

compatible with HPDM multipath support. Refer the Support matrix of HPDM Multipath Solution

for supported Qlog ic/Emulex driver version.

• Download the HP D evice Mapper Multipath enablement kit for HP StorageWorks Disk Arrays
