Printer Inquire Fields

This section provides information on the fields that are displayed in the Printer Inquire window.

Printer Name

This field displays the 16-character string defining the name of a printer.

Device

This field displays an eight-character device name of a printer attached to

the HP 3000.

PrintDef

This field displays the name of a printer definition.

Environment File

This field displays the name of the environment file.

Description

This field displays the 40-character text field that describes the location,

printer definition, and printer associated with the printer name.

Printer Inquire Function Keys

This section provides information on the Printer Inquire window’s function keys.

This option displays the next page of printer records.

This option displays the previous page of printer records.

Print Screen

This option prints the current screen of print devices to the system

line printer.

Printer Maint

This option exits the Printer Inquire window and displays the Printer

Maintenance window.
