TermDSM Command Summary
This section lists the first level commands and basic functionality of all the available
TermDSM operations. These commands are used to view, control and diagnose various
operations of the DTS Subsystem.
• C[onnect] Access the Show Connections function to display all the TIO and PAD
connections established through selected cards in the DTCs. The security level of
this command is 2..
• DI[AG] Access the Diagnostic functions that can be run on a port. This command
also accesses the function used to initiate a DTC selftest. The security level of this
command is 1 for the DTC selftest, and 2 for the individual port tests.
• DT[C] Display a list of all the DTCs managed by this system along with its
descriptive name and the IEEE 802.3 station address. The security level of this
command is 2.
• DU[MP] Access the functions to copy a selected data area of a DTC or Ldev to a disk
file for troubleshooting used by HP factory personnel. The security level of this
command is 2. The data area copied to a disk file can be of a port, an ldev, an entire
asynchronous processor board of a DTC 72MX or an entire DTC. The security level of
this command is 1.
• EE[PROM] DT[C] Access the function used to download the new ROM code on the
DTC 72MX and DTC 16iX/16MX. The security level of this command is 1.
• EX[IT] This command will exit the TermDSM program and return to the DUI
prompt. The security level of this command is 2.
• H[ELP] This command displays information describing TermDSM and its command
syntax. The security level of this command is 2.
• M[ULTI] Access the Multiple DTC operations function. This function allows you to
perform a Start or Stop operation of the X.25 and PAD protocols on multiple X.25
cards in multiple DTCs with one command. The security level of this command is 1.
• R[ESET] Access the function that is used to reset a port, a board, a single DTC, or
multiple DTCs to accept new sessions. The security level of resetting ports is 2, and
the security level of resetting DTCs is 1.
• S[TATUS] Access the function that is used to display status information on a DTC,
port, or X.25 card and PAD or Virtual Connections. The security level of this
command is 2.
• T[RACE] Access the function that is used to enable or disable tracing for a port on an
asynchronous processor board of a DTC 72MX or a DTC/X.25 Network Access card.
Options allow trace to be activated for level 2, level 3, or a specific VC of the
DTC/X.25 card. The security level of this command is 2.
• X[25SITE] Access the X.25 Site Management function that displays information on
X.25 system-to-system connections between MPE/iX systems. The connection
information covers three areas: information on all the DTCs managed by the system;
information on the link for a particular DTC and the PSN; information on a specific
connection. The security level of this command is 2.
