Job Output
Job Output Handling
General Considerations
Regardless of the method you use to control the output returning from
the host, a number of general considerations must be taken into
account:
Matching data set output class to device output class.
Handling carriage control characters.
Controlling output directed to an HP 268xx laser printer.
The structure of the Peripheral Device Information Record (PDIR).
Routing standard forms output.
Routing special forms output.
Specifying multiple copies.
Routing output to disk files.
Routing output to tape files.
This subsection describes those features.
Host Output Classes and Logical Writers
Output data sets are routed to logical writers configured for your NRJE
workstation. The routing is based on a match between the class of the
output and the classes assigned to the logical output devices. This
match can be determined by combining the following:
The workstation configuration at the host; specifically, the classes
that are defined for each of the logical output devices configured for
your remote,
and
The JCL in your job, which defines the class of the output data sets,
and
