Using NMDUMP for the SNA Links

X.25 Link Output Formats

For the X.25 link, NMDUMP formats tracing records. (Logging

information is contained within the SNA Transport logging

information.) When NMDUMP displays the list of subsystems and IDs,

and prompts you for the IDs you want to select, specify the ID for X.25

Link: 38. Then, proceed normally with NMDUMP. The format of the

tracing records is shown below.

Tracing Records

Figure 5-5, “X.25 Link Tracing Record Format Example,” is a partial

format of a tracing record for the X.25 link.

Logging Records

As stated earlier in this chapter, X.25 link logging information is

contained within the SNA Transport logging information.
