Checklist C. Distributing Staging Areas to Remote Systems
Use this task checklist if your source material was on tape and/or electronically downloaded files, you are
managing your patches, and you are using an existing staging area on disk to apply:
• Reactive patches on your remote system software
NOTE
• You must have completed the activities on the checklist B, “Manage Patches by Staging
Area,” before performing the activities in this checklist.
• You can only use the EXPORT and IMPORT commands of Stage/iX for applying patches to
systems that are on the identical base. Stage/iX will not verify whether or not your
machines are on the same base release.
• For each remote system you are modifying, complete the activities in this checklist on your
remote system.
Print a copy of this checklist for each remote system that you are applying patches to.
