OpenView DTC Manager and NMMGR
When the system is configured for PC-Based management, there are several parameters
configured in NMMGR that must match corresponding parameters configured in the
OpenView DTC Manager. For each DTC that is to have access to the system using nailed
devices there must be a corresponding DTC configured on the OpenView DTC Manager.
The corresponding DTC is the DTC that has the same DTC Node Name in NMMGR and
the OpenView DTC Manager. The following is a list of those parameters that must
match and the step where the parameter is configured in NMMGR:
• The HP e3000’s node name configured in step 3 must match the default destination
for any DTC ports configured as non-switched terminals or DTC ports configured as
dedicated printers.
• The DTC’s node name configured in step 6 must be configured for a corresponding
DTC on the OpenView DTC Manager.
• The DTC’s card types and configuration, configured in steps 6 and 7 must match the
configuration of a corresponding DTC on the OpenView DTC Manager.
• The PAD device name and the PAD device type, if one is specified, that is configured
in step 7, subsection Configure X.25 card, must match the PAD device name and type
configured on the PAD access screen on the OpenView DTC Manager.
