4 Dynamic Configuration and DTS
Shutdown/Restart
This chapter describes how you can make most DTS configuration
changes dynamically using NMMGR without rebooting the system
(herein referred to as dynamic configuration. Such configuration
changes include adding/deleting/ modifying terminals, printers, and
DTCs.
This chapter also discusses the DTS subsystem shutdown and restart
capabilities provided through the DTCCNTRL command.
Refer to Chapters 5 and 6 for detailed steps on the DTS configuration
process for host-based and PC-based DTC management, respectively.
NOTE
To automatically add/configure a host-based managed DTC to DTS
without needing to specify detailed configuration information such as
DTC cards/boards and ldevs, refer to Chapter 3, “Automatic
Configuration of DTCs.” To manage/dynamically configure host-based
X.25 links, refer to the Configuring and Managing Host-Based X.25
Links manual.
