Plan the Network Configuration
Before you begin the process of configuring the X.25 iX System Access link, you must
define the physical layout and configuration parameters for the system-to- system
network connections that will be required for the system you are configuring. Once you
have determined what the configuration should be, you can begin the process of entering
the configuration values into NMMGR.
Configuration values that you must determine include a network interface name and
type and an address for the system being configured. You must also determine whether
any of the nodes on your network are gateway nodes, and identify neighbor gateways.
Table 5-1 shows the configuration values that you will need to enter, along with the
screen on which each is entered. The parameters are listed in alphabetical order.
NOTE This manual assumes the use of the guided configuration branch. Only the parameters
configured during guided configuration are listed.
