Support of the HP SureStore E Disk Arrays XP12000 and XP10000

This article contains information on the support and configuration of the HP SureStore E Disk Arrays
XP12000 and XP10000. These are part of the overall XP family of arrays. The XP12000 is the high-end part of
the XP12000/XP10000 pair. The XP10000 is a smaller, repackaged version of the XP120000.

Support and Documentation
Device installation and support is provided by HP. For detailed information on the support and configuration

Connectivity Options
Fibre Channel Support
Preferred and recommended for A-Class and N-Class HP e3000 systems.
Direct fibre channel support is only available on the A400/A500/N4000 systems through the A6795A card.
Supported on Release 7.5 + PPT 2.
SCSI/Fibre Channel Support
Preferred and recommended for S9xx NIO HP e3000 systems.
Supported on Releases 7.0 PowerPatch 2 and 7.5 + PowerPatch 2.
Support via a SCSI-to-fibre-channel connection is only available through a Fibre Channel Router
A5814A-003.
Supported systems include S9xx (9x9, 99x, 9x8, etc)
Supported IO cards include A28696A NIO (3728 or 3944 FW) A/N-Class customers may use A4800A,
A5159A and A5159B PCI, but Native FC A6795A is recommended.
