You can use these options to indicate the reason that you are shutting down the system. For example, if you
shut down to clear a DTC hang, use the DTC option.
CTRL A
=SHUTDOWN DTC
The console responds by listing shutdown messages similar to these:
Shutdown of operating system begins. (Shut 1)
Shutdown of user processes begins (Shut 2)
Shutdown of jobs & sessions begins. (Shut 3)
Spoolers notified of a shutdown. (Shut 16)

.
.
Shutdown of system processes begins. (Shut 4)
Shutdown of system managers begins. (Shut 5)
Shutdown of operating system complete. (Shut 6)
