Step 4: Configure the Link
The Host Configuration screen is displayed when you press the
[DTS]
function key at the
Main screen (Figure 5-3).
This screen is used to configure the Datacommunications and Terminal Subsystem
(DTS) on the HP e3000. DTS defines the interaction between the system and any
asynchronous devices, such as terminals and printers.

1. “Local HP e3000 node name” is a display-only field. Verify that it is correct.
2. Enter the name of the LINK that you want to be used by the HP e3000 DTS
subsystem. DTSLINK is the default.
3. Enter the Link type of the LAN card you will use for the interface. If the LINK name
is already defined in the LINK tree of the NMCONFIG file, then leave this field blank.
4. In the “Physical path of LANIC” field, type the slot number for the LANIC card in
the host. If the LINK name is already defined in the LINK tree of the NMCONFIG file,
then leave this field blank.
5. Verify that the cursor is in the Number of non-nailed terminals field. Type the
number of non-nailed terminals, as listed on the worksheets. This is the maximum
number of terminals, not configured as nailed terminals, that can logon to the
computer.
