7 Managing Networks with DTCCNTRL
This chapter describes the syntax of the DTCCNTRL command and how it is used.
DTCCNTRL is a command file that is used to start, stop, and obtain status about
host-based X.25 system-to-system and PAD connections; dynamically implement
changes that were made to the DTS subsystem in NMMGR; shutdown and restart the
DTS subsystem; automatically add a new DTC. Additional information on dynamic
configuration, automatic configuration, and DTS shutdown and restart is contained in
the Configuring Systems for Terminals, Printers, and Other Serial Devices manual.
The capabilities required to use DTCCNTRL depends on the operation selected. System
Manager (SM) is required to shutdown and restart the DTS subsystem. Network
Manager (NM) or System Manager (SM) is required to perform dynamic or automatic
configuration. System Operator (OP), Network Administrator (NA) or Network Manager
(NM) is required to obtain dynamic configuration or X.25 card status or start and stop
X.25 and PAD services.
