TermDSM Commands
C[OMMENT]
C[OMMENT]
Allows you to enter a line of information on the terminal screen.
Security level: 2.
Syntax
C[OMMENT] commenttext
Parameter
commenttext Any string of alphanumeric characters.
Description
This command is used to make informational comments regarding what
you are currently doing in TermDSM. If you are keeping a hardcopy
record of everything that you are typing in at your terminal, you will
want to type in any information that you feel will be useful to you later.
This command may be entered at any time while you are in TermDSM.
The easiest way to keep a hardcopy record of everything you are typing
at your terminal is to type in DUI’s HARDCOPY command before you
enter TermDSM. This command then records everything that appears
on your screen. Refer to the Online Diagnostic Subsystem Manual
(09740-90020) for more information on DUI and the HARDCOPY
command.
Another way to do this is to connect a printer to the second port of your
terminal and record each line that you type by using the LOG BOTTOM
function of your terminal. Refer to your terminal reference manual for
more information.
NOTE Even though COMMENT does not appear in the prompt of the DIAG,
DUMP, RESET, and STATUS commands, a comment is acceptable input in
these cases as well.
