Host Hardware and Software Requirements
SNA/SDLC Link requires this IBM host hardware:
•AnIBM System/370-compatible mainframe (for example,
Model 370, 303x, and 43xx).
•AnIBM 37xx-compatible communications controller that supports
an SNA line. An HP 3000 can also be connected to the
communications controller via an IBM 3710 network controller.
SNA/SDLC Link requires this IBM host software:
• MVS/SP, MVS/XA, VSE, or VM operating system.
• ACF/NCP network control program. (For a T2.1 node, version 5
release 2 or later is needed for the IBM 3720 and IBM 3745, and
version 4 release 3 is needed for the IBM 3725.)
• ACF/VTAM telecommunications access method. (For a T2.1 node,
version 3 release 2 or later is needed.)
