Installation/Update Procedures
For NetBase
Overview
Typically, the installation and configuration of each system or the updating of software can be
accomplished in less than 30 minutes. In general, the following steps comprise the
installation/update process:
1. Restore the NetBase software from tape using NETACCT job.
2. Configure operational parameters and define all nodes in the network.
Note that this step is
required for initial implementation only. Updates will not overwrite this information.
3. Install the NetBase shell routines and restart the system.
4. Validate the NetBase installation and modify system startup procedures.
