DISCUTIL

Syntax

ISL> DISCUTIL

Operation

DISCUTIL is a standalone utility that you can invoke only at the ISL> prompt from the

physical console. It lets you request various disk operations when the operating system is

not running.

When used in conjunction with the RECOVER command of VOLUTIL, it can save, and

subsequently recover, ﬁles from a system that is logically inoperable.
