This manual provides the commands, status messages, data structures, and programming
examples used in the MPE/iX Architected Interface Facility (AIF). The AIF provides
reliable, high-performance development tools for the MPE/iX HP 3000 system
management suppliers. The AIF provides specialized procedures for use by software
suppliers and internal and external solution creators. In order to use the AIF, it is
necessary to have either the HP Pascal/iX or HP C/iX compilers.
AIFs do not provide new operating system functionality, but instead provide supported
mechanisms for taking advantage of existing MPE/iX functionality and data structures.
