Protocol Name Database
Protocol Name Database
The protocol name database, PROTOCOL.NET.SYS, associates protocol
numbers with official protocol name and aliases. This allows the user to
refer to a protocol by a symbolic name instead of a number. The protocol
number mappings are defined in RFC 1010 Assigned Numbers. To
configure the protocol name database, modify the sample file
PROTSAMP.NET.SYS.
