CHAR Small, fixed-length character string.
VARCHAR Small, variable-length character string.
LONGVARCHAR Large, variable-length character string.
NUMERIC Fixed-precision decimal value
represented with a precision that can
be greater than the original precision.
DECIMAL Fixed-precision decimal value
represented with a precision that is no
greater than the original precision.
BIT A single bit value that can be either
zero or one.
TINYINT 8-bit unsigned integer.
SMALLINT 16-bit signed integer.
INTEGER 32-bit signed integer.
BIGINT 64-bit signed integer.
REAL “Single-precision” floating-point
number that supports seven digits of
mantissa.
FLOAT “Double-precision” floating-point
number that supports 15 digits of
mantissa.
DOUBLE “Double-precision” floating-point
number that supports 15 digits of
mantissa.
BINARY Small, fixed-length binary value.
VARBINARY Small, variable-length binary value.
LONGVARBINARY Large, variable-length binary value.
DATE A value representing a date consisting
of day, month, and year.
TIME A value representing a time consisting
of hours, minutes, and seconds.
TIMESTAMP A DATE plus a TIME plus a nanosecond
field.
