Who Should Use This Manual

Before Using the FTP Client
In order to use the FTP client, your network administrator must have a network up and
running. The remote host you wish to access must be reachable from your network. You
should have some understanding of the remote file system you want to access.
To use the FTP client you will need the following from your network administrator for each
system you are accessing:
• The ARPA domain name, remote internet protocol (IP) address, or NS node name.
• User logon identification and passwords.
