When might you use SPT?
• To access a new type of SCSI device that is not
supported by MPE/iX (like an enclosure manager
or tape library robotics)
• To teach existing SCSI devices new tricks
• Not recommended for use with MPE/iX disk
volumes or CSLTs / STORE tapes
