3 Automatic Configuration of DTCs
This chapter describes how you can add and configure a new host-based
managed DTC to the HP 3000 system without needing to specify
detailed configuration information such as DTC cards/boards and ldevs
(herein referred to as automatic configuration).
You can perform an automatic configuration by using a command file
that is activated either outside or inside the NMMGR utility. You may
choose to add a DTC automatically inside NMMGR if you need to make
other DTS configuration changes. These two methods are described
below.
NOTE
If you want to dynamically implement DTS changes made in NMMGR
(dynamic configuration) or perform a DTS shutdown or restart, refer to
Chapter 4, “Dynamic Configuration and DTS Shutdown/Restart.” If you
want to manage/dynamically configure host-based X.25 links, refer to
the Configuring and Managing Host-Based X.25 Links manual.
