Starting and Stopping Samba/iX

If you want to display a list of available shares on the Samba/iX server

named “HP 3000; enter the following command at the DOS prompt:

Example: C:\> net view \\hp3000

C:\>net use x:\\servername\servicename

This command will connect to a network drive X by entering the

sharename \\servername\servicename.

If you want to connect to drive letter “X” from your PC to the “Sambdoc”

service on Samba/iX server named “HP 3000”, type the following

command at the DOC prompt:

Example: C:\> net use x: \\hp3000\sambdoc
