T[RACE] X2[5] TRACEON
T[RACE] X2[5] TRACEON
Turns on a trace for a particular VC on an X.25 card.
Security level: 2.
Syntax
TRACEON dtcnum,cardnum,traceoption
Parameters
dtcnum Number of the DTC that contains the DTC/X.25
Network Access card (SNP). This is the number
TermDSM associates with this DTC.
cardnum Number of the SNP card within the DTC. The cards are
numbered from zero beginning at the bottom of the
DTC. (Note that SNP cards may not be mounted in slot
0 or 1 for DTC 16, and slot 0 for DTC 48.)
traceoption The trace option allows you to specify the type of
information that you want included in the trace. The
options are 1, to trace VC information; 2, to trace level 2
information; or 3, to trace level 3 information. The trace
options are described separately on the following pages.
Only one trace can be active at a time.
Trace Option 1
Use trace option 1 to trace information about a speciļ¬c VC. When this
trace option is entered, the following prompt is printed on the terminal:

Enter the number of the virtual circuit for which you want the trace
recorded. There can be up to 256 VCs on a DTC48 or DTC 72MX and up
to 32 VCs on a DTC16.
You will then see the following prompt at the terminal:
