SNA IMF Configuration
Configuring SNA IMF
Once you have entered the new name, press [f4]
(Rename); the node is then renamed.
Configured SNA Nodes for SNA IMF
For display only. The names of the SNA nodes for which
SNA IMF has been configured. You can configure a
maximum 256 nodes for SNA IMF in a configuration
file (use
[f1] [Next Page] to display more fields). The
nodes listed must also have been configured in the SNA
node configuration; this is checked when the validation
is done. Validating the configuration file is discussed
earlier in this chapter.
File
For display only. The name of the configuration file.
Once you have entered the name of the node, press
[f5]
(Add) if this is a new configuration, or press [f6]
(Modify) if you are modifying a configuration. This
places you at the SNA IMF Configuration: Security
Classes screen.
Security Classes Screen
After you have selected an SNA node, NMMGR displays the SNA IMF
Configuration: Security Classes screen as shown in Figure 3-4. (You can
go directly to this screen from any screen by typing @IMF.
nodename
in
the command window and pressing
[ENTER].) Here you specify the
security class you want to configure. A class is a means of associating a
set of LUs with a name and security attributes. SNA IMF searches the
configuration file and extracts a list of LU names that correspond to the
specified class name. SNA IMF then passes the list to SNA Transport,
which selects an available LU from the list.
