Returns the logical device number of the job/session input device. If this is
a spooled (STREAM) batch job, then the logical device number is the virtual
device.
A virtual device simulates a spooling device. Users cannot own the actual
spooling device, so the virtual device allows users access to spooling. Each
virtual device is temporarily assigned a logical device number for the
duration of the input or output spooling process. Since the same logical
device number can be reassigned to another virtual device with different
physical characteristics, such as page length, the virtual device is not
permanently configured in the system configuration. You can also obtain
the logical device number of the virtual device with FFILEINFO.
