Volume II Chapter 3
Printer, Tape and Spooler
CAUSE The configured maximum number of spooled device file
kilosectors are in use. MPE/iX shuts all output queues
(equivalent to SHUTQ
ldev
), on all
ldevs
and SHUTQ
devclass
on all device classes), so users are
automatically prevented from creating new spooled device
files.
ACTION When space becomes available, you may reopen the
queues with the OPENQ command.
13 MESSAGE NO MORE SPACE IN SPOOL CLASS, ALL QUEUES SHUT
CAUSE No more space exists in the (disk) class SPOOL. MPE/iX
shuts all output queues (equivalent to SHUTQ
ldev
on all
ldevs and SHUTQ
devclass
on all device classes), so users
are automatically prevented from creating new spooled
device files.
ACTION Store on tape unnecessary spoolfiles and purge them from
the system. A long term solution would be to reconfigure
the system using SYSGEN for more disk space. When
space becomes available, you may reopen the queues with
the OPENQ command.

pin

CAUSE A request for operator response (for example,
