Introduction
Prior to the MPE/iX 6.0 release, TCP on MPE/iX allowed a maximum of
4096 connections. An enhancement to the TCP module allows up to
5600 connections. The version ID of TCP (NET_TCP_VERS in
nmmaint,3) which supports this feature will start with B060.
Configuration through NMMGR
You need to configure the machine to allow it to go up to 5600
connections. The NMMGR screen for configuring the maximum
connections looks like the following:
NMMGR/3000 (B.06.00) Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) Config Data:
Y
When Data Flag is "N", press "Save Data" to create the data record.
Command:
Path: NETXPORT.GPROT.TCP
[N] Checksum Enabled (Y For Yes, N For No)
[256 ] Maximum Number of Connections
[2 ] Retransmission Interval Lower Bound (Secs)
[180 ] Maximum Time to Wait For Remote Response (Sec)
[10 ] Initial Retransmission Interval (Secs)
[4 ] Maximum Retransmissions per Packet
[600 ] Connection Assurance Interval (Secs)
[3 ] Maximum Connection Assurance Retransmissions
