Event Log Corrected hardware errors Issue Integrity Servers running Windows Server 2008 R2 might receive Windows Event Log messages describing Corrected Hardware Errors for memory and processor components. These messages from the Microsoft WHEA-LOGGER service can occur several times daily on large memory configurations running under high load. Servers All Integrity Workaround These event log messages do not indicate a problem. The underlying hardware is operating correctly.
Error message during system boot Issue On a system with an Emulex LPe1205-HP 8 Gb Mezzanine card, during system boot, a VOLTAGE_DEGRADES_TO_NON_RECOVERABLE message is posted in the System Event Log (SEL). You can view this message with the SL command under the MP menu. Servers HP Integrity BL860c Server Blade and BL870c Server Blade Workaround This is only an alert message. The function and performance on the Mezzanine card are not adversely affected. No actions are needed.
Servers BL8x0c i2 Server Blade Workaround Replace the double byte characters with single byte characters. Long delays when HP SUM updates the NC532m NIC driver Issue When running HP SUM, you might experience long delays while updating the NIC components on machines with a large number of network adapters (for example, the BL890c i2 with Flex-10 enabling 64 VLANs or more). This is because of the enumeration of the adapters and the way the drivers are installed.
Workaround These are informational events. When the system is booted up, a type DC event entry is generated in the SEL. When the system is gracefully shut down, one or more type DD event entries are generated in the SEL. Unknown IPMI Type-E1 event Issue The iLO SL (Show Event Logs) menu might report an unknown IPMI Type-E1 event after an OS boot completed event or after an OS graceful shutdown occurred event.
Workaround Download and install the 01.28.03.65 or later driver from http://www.hp.com. Smart Array Blue screen displays when Smart Array cards are hot removed Issue A blue screen is displayed when Smart Array P800/E500 and P400 cards are hot removed with no storage attached. Servers All supported Integrity servers Workaround HP does not recommend any hot replace or hot add functions for these cards.
