NOTE: When enabled, hyperthreading is activated for all CPUs in the system. You cannot
apply hyperthreading to a single CPU, cell, or nPartition.
To enable hyperthreading on partitionable and nonpartitionable HP Integrity servers using the
Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI), follow these steps:
1. Reboot the system to the EFI Shell.
2. Issue the cpuconfig threads command. The system indicates whether hyperthreading
is turned ON or OFF.
3. If hyperthreading is currently OFF, issue the cpuconfig threads on command to turn
it on.
4. Verify success by rebooting to the EFI Shell again and issuing another cpuconfig threads
command, which should indicate ON.
Device Manager Indicates “Unknown Device” with ID IFX0102
On BL860c i2, BL870c i2, and BL890c i2 platforms, the Windows Device Manager may indicate
a “yellow bang” or “Unknown Device” error. The Hardware ID for this unknown device, reported
on the Properties page > Details tab, is IFX0102.

This unknown device is actually the Trusted Platform Module, or TPM. The TPM is an integrated
device on some I/O controller hub mezzanine cards. Since the TPM is not supported in Windows
operating systems, it is normally disabled in manufacturing. But if for some reason your system
lists this unknown device, it means the option was NOT disabled in manufacturing and you
must disable it manually.
To disable the unknown device with ID IFX0102, follow these steps:
