1. At the EFI shell prompt, run the System Security Configuration command by typing
secconfig tpm off and pressing Enter. The following (or similar) text should display
on-screen:
SYSTEM SECURITY CONFIGURATION
TPM: Enabled
TPM Next Boot Status: Disabled
TPM Vendor ID: 0x15D1
TPM Product ID: 0x000B
TPM TCG Spec Version: 1.2.1.0
secconfig: A reset is required for security configuration changes
to take effect.
2. At the shell prompt, run the Reset command by typing reset and pressing Enter.
3. Reboot the system, run the Device Manager again, and confirm that the “Unknown Device”
error is resolved.
Determining the Boot Controller During OS Reinstallations on BL8x0 i2 Server Blades
As mentioned previously in “Set Up the Boot Drive” (page 27), it is strongly recommended
before installing or reinstalling the OS to disconnect all controllers and drives except for the
target boot controller. This ensures the OS is installed on the correct drive. However, if you forget
or cannot do this for some reason on BL8x0 i2 server blades, you can still determine the target
boot controller from the information displayed onscreen during the reinstallation process.

For example, the above screen indicates that 5 different controllers were found during the detection
process. To determine the boot controller, follow these steps:
1. Ignore all Cabinet, Bay, Chassis, and Slot number values.
2. Evaluate the PCI Bus numbers listed for each controller as follows:
Equals the following Blade-Card combinationPCI Bus number
Blade 1 — Monarch0 to 63
Blade 2 — Aux264 to 127
