Performance specifications
The PCI-X 2.0 4G b FC adapters a re 4-G b, high-performance d irect memory access (DMA) bus master
HBAs designed for high-end systems.
The A B379B is the newest model, with a different application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) from
the
AB379A.
These HBAs ha
ve the following features:
• Combine a powerful reduced instruction set computing (RISC) processor, a Fibre Channel protocol
manager
(FPM) with 4Gb Fibre Channel transceivers, and a peripheral component interconnect
(PCI) or peripheral component interconnect-exten ded (PCI-X) local bus interface in a single-chip
solution
• Support Fabric Loop Attach (FLA) connections
• Support bus master DMA
• Supports S
CSI-3 Fibre Channel Protocol (SCSI-FCP), and Fibre Channel-Virtual Interface (FC-VI)
protocols
• Support point-to-point fabric connection (F-PORT FABRIC LOGIN)
• Comply wi
th:
