Known Issues with the current release
Microsoft Windows Vista is not supported
The current release of the ITHU does not support updating HP servers running Microsoft
Windows Vista.
HP Insight Inventory Collector does not support new version of
Insight Management Agents
The current version of the HP Insight Inventory Collector (version 7.2.5.0) is developed
and tested with Insight Management Agents version 7.4 and older.
HP currently has no plan to update the HP Insight Inventory Collector to support newer
versions of the Agents.
Advertisement status in SMS SP2 for HP update installation
does not reflect actual reboot requirement
ISSUE: Some HP updates installation requires reboot for the installation to complete.
After the installation, install status is reported to SMS through the SMS Agent. However,
Advertisement Status in SMS SP2 Console only shows Success for the HP update
installation, even though reboot is required to complete the installation.
WORKAROUND: Update SMS SP2 with latest hotfix from Microsoft when available.
Users can also enable hpSmsInstallerStatus to obtain the actual installation status and
message about all HP update installation. Refer to the hpSmsInstallerStatus
documentation for detail about enabling the tool.
