Performing a static analysis
The following sections provide examples of using static analysis.
General Usage
Performance issues are often introduced during system configuration. This might be caused by a planning error, an
error in following the prescribed configuration path, or a result of many updates to a system over time. Regardless of
the cause, PMP can analyze static configurations and make suggestions to areas of concern before a change occurs.
From the Systems Insight Manager console toolbar, click Reports>Performance Management Pack
Reports>Static Analysis Report, select the “pmpserver” checkbox, and click Generate Report to display the
Static Analysis Report for “pmpserver.” These results can be printed from the browser.
