Issue Occurs when Solution
No supported NICs are active. Verify that the NIC card is supported. Refer
to the HP ProLiant Essentials Performance
Management Pack Support Matrix for a list
of supported network adapters.
The NIC agents on the monitored
server are not running.
Restart the NIC agents on the monitored
server. Restart the agents with the Services
tool, accessed from Administrative Tools in
Windows 2000, Windows XP, and
Windows 2003.
Although monitoring has been started
and the proper number of samples for
analysis has been collected, the Network
Connections icon for a monitored server
remains “Unknown” in PMP Online
Analysis page.
The NIC agents are running, but they
collect and send invalid values to
PMP.
Reboot the server.
Even when a server is licensed and
logging is started, the status displayed in
the PF column is always blue (unknown)
and data cannot be logged for that
server.
An internal logic error occurs on some
systems.
Restart the session from the Monitoring
Administration page.
* Windows Server 2003 has physical and logical disk counters enabled by default.
