Upgrading PMP
PMP updates can be manually installed over previous installations of PMP. Upgrades to PMP require a previous
version of 4.0 or greater. The release notes for PMP updates state whether the update is a complete installation
or a patch. Complete installations can be installed over a previous installation or after PMP has been uninstalled
manually. A patch installation can only be installed over an existing version. Both types of installations require
the presence of HP SIM 5.1 or later. In addition, PMP also required a temporary user name that has DBA rights.
This temporary user name must have the same password as that of the PMP database user mentioned in the
Oracle database.
