Table 25 describes possible problems with discovery and suggested resolutions.

Problem Resolution
Discovery is turned off. Select Discover > On.
Devices are not being
discovered.
Ensure that your SNMP communication parameters are
set correctly in order to discover switches.
Discovered devices are not
being displayed.
Specify each device in the Out-of-Band dialog box,
either by the individual IP address or by subnet.
1. Select Discover > Setup.
2. Add, change, and remove IP addresses, as
necessary. See ”Configuring IP addresses and
community strings” on page 76.
3. Select IP addresses from the Available Addresses
list and add them to the Selected Subnets or
Selected Individual Addresses lists by clicking . If
you add addresses to the Selected Subnets list,
select a method (Broadcast or Sweep).
4. Click OK.
Ensure that you’ve selected to view the fabric that
includes the discovered devices.
Ensure that only one copy of the application is being
used to monitor and manage the same devices in a
subnet.
Cannot see HBA in discovery

HAFM requires specific HBA driver levels. Verify driver
levels.
