The following procedure can be used to provide a certificate.
1. Import the new certificate (and the associated private key) into the Local Computer\ Personal
(My)” certificate store as follows:
a. Run certlm.msc.
The certlm window is displayed.
b. Right-click on the Personal\Certificates folder.
c. Select All TasksImport
d. Select the file containing the certificate file.
NOTE: The certificate imported must include a private key, so the file must be in the
Personal Information Exchange Format (PKCS#12), which typically has a file extension
of .pfx or .p12. Once imported, you can verify a private key is installed by looking
for a small key shape in the top-left of the certificate’s icon, as shown in the following
figure.
2. Double click the certificate to display the certificate properties window.
3. Select the Details tab and copy the thumbprint.
