Configuring Windows 95/98 for Printing

Complete the following steps to configure Windows for printing to

an HP JetDirect print server. Before you start this procedure, make

sure you have access to the following items:

The Windows 95/98 system installation disks or CD-ROM.

■

The printer driver disks or CD-ROM for your printer.

1. From the Windows desktop, select Start, Programs, HP

JetAdmin Utilities, then click Add HP JetDirect Printer.

2. Select Easy Setup, then click Next.

3. If you want to choose a device from a list of printers on the

network, do one of the following:

click TCP/IP or IPX/SPX, click Printer List, to select the

printer from the list, then click OK.

■

manually specify the printer by selecting the appropriate field

and typing the information.

Then click Next.
