Authentication Server Access Control
To set this security mode, use the
Access Rights
properties page
(see “Setting Permissions” on page 25). Click the
Mac Sharing
tab.
If an authentication server is currently enabled (as described above
in step 14 on page 19), your page will resemble the one shown
below. If your page instead resembles the one shown below “Share
Password Access Control” on page 27, then the authentication
server is not yet configured.
For
Owner
specify the user to be the owner of the volume and spec-
ify the
Group
to which the owner belongs. The owner can belong
only to one group.
World
means all other users. Access applies to all
folders and subfolders of the volume.
Check the permissions for each category. Use the same setting for
Read
and
Search
. (
Read
allows reading the files in the folders;
Search
allows listing files and folders.)
These changes take effect as soon as you
[OK]
the page. For other
