1 Overview
Remote Site Management (RSM) is an add-on service module to the HP Intelligent Management
Center (IMC). It provides IMC administrators with tools to manage routers, switches, and other
networking devices across firewalls and NAT devices (Figure 1).

RSM includes two categories of management functions:
• Remote site management
• Device group management
These functions are described in more detail in the following sections.
