Services Tab
Under Take Out Of Services, the following information is viewable only:
The Drive Configuration dialog box has four options the user can use. In the bottom left
of the menu the user can select to bring a tape drive in or out of service, rename a tape
drive or dismount a tape cartridge.
Bringing a Tape Drive In or Out of Service
At the Drive configuration dialog box, Figure 5-9, follow these steps:
1. In the Password box, enter the correct password.
2. Under Choose an option, choose either In Service or Out Service.
3. The Services tab, Figure 5-8, reappears, reflecting the new status of your
drive.
Renaming a Tape Drive
At the Drive configuration dialog box, Figure 5-9, follow these steps:
1. Under Rename drive, make the appropriate changes in the Name and/or Node
box.
2. In the Password box, enter the correct password.
3. Under Choose an option, click Rename.
4. The Services tab, Figure 5-8, reappears. The drive is renamed.
Dismounting a Tape From a Drive
At the Drive configuration dialog box, Figure 5-9, follow these steps:
1. Under Choose an option, click Dismount.
2. The Services tab, Figure 5-8, reappears. The tape is dismounted and the drive
status light is now green, indicating that the drive is online and empty.
Node The name of the NonStop system hosting the tape drive.
Name The name of the tape drive as viewed by the host system.
Address The address of the tape drive within the ACL.
Label The barcode label of a tape that is mounted in the tape drive.
Media Domain The domain of the media such as LTO.
Media Type The specific version of media such as LTO.
Xport Domain The manufacturer of the tape drive.
Xport Type The product number of the tape drive.
Xport Serial # The internal serial number of the tape drive.
