PUP Commands and Equivalent SCF Commands
ISOLATE ALTER DISK
PHYSVOLSELECT
OFF
Prevents the virtual disk process from
placing files on the volume.
LISTDEV INFO and STATUS Displays disk configuration and status
information for the specified disk drive.
STATUS DISK Displays the current status of the disk
drive.
STATUS POOL Displays the current status of the storage
pool.
LISTDEV Displays the device type, that is, type 4 for
tape.

Specifies the preferred path for any device
accessed from multiple paths.
QUARANTINE ALTER DISK,
AUTOSELECT OFF
Prevents the virtual disk process from
placing files on the volume except when
the request contains the physical volume
name.
REDEFINEPOOL ALTER POOL

Changes any specified attributes.
REDEFINEVIRTDISK ALTER DISK, TYPE
VIRTUAL

Changes any specified attributes for the
virtual disk.
RENAME ALTER DISK

Replaces only the default or alternate
name of the volume (VOLNAME or
ALTNAME options). If you use the ALTER
DISK, LABEL command to change both
names, all files on the volume are deleted.
SHOWPOOL INFO POOL Displays information about the storage
pool.
SHOWVIRTDISK INFO DISK Displays information about the virtual disk.
STATUS STATUS objecttype Displays the current status of the object
type specified.
STOP PROCESS RESET objecttype

Starts the object or process if it is in a
STOPPED state, making it available to
user processes.
START DISK is also used to revive one
half of a mirrored volume that is in a
STOPPED state, substate DOWN.
