Running NSPDIAG
There are two ways to set up the parameters and start running NSPDIAG:
1. Using command line parameters.
The command line parameters allow you to run NSPDIAG and send test
commands to the Atalla NSP without using the NSPDIAG Main Menu. The
responses are displayed on screen and written to the log file.
For example, when you want to send test commands stored in the data file
TESTFILE to the device named $NSP1 and use the log file named NSPLOG, at
the TACL prompt, enter:
RUN NSPDIAG -D$NSP1 -FTESTFILE -LNSPLOG -S
Use parameter -S to bypass the menu and start testing. When -S is not included,
the initial values are set as noted in the command line and the Main Menu is
displayed.
See Using Command Line Parameters later in this section for details.
2. Using NSPDIAG Main Menu.
The NSPDIAG Main Menu is used to set all parameters. At the TACL prompt,
enter:
RUN NSPDIAG
When the NSPDIAG is running, the Main Menu is displayed. See Using Main Menu
later in this section for details.
