SCSI Termination on the Tape Drive
Copper SCSI Cables
You can use any of these SCSI cables.
SCSI Termination on the Tape Drive
The tape drive has two 68-pin SCSI ports. Located on the back left of the drive. Place
a terminator on a 68 pin SCSI port. See port 2 in Figure 2-8 on page 2-8.
Connect the Power Cord
1. Check that the power button on the front of the tape drive is off.
2. Connect the power cord to the AC receptacle on the rear of the tape drive.
Check that the power cord is fully seated.
3. Connect the other end of the power cord to a nearby AC outlet.

Note. The tape drive does not have protection against lighting surges. Customers located in
high risk areas should use external surge protection rated for use in their location and be able
to handle the power demand of the tape drive.
