iCAP commands
iCAP supports a limited set of command options on HP Integrity Superdome 2. The user is
presented with command options that are sufficient to self enforce the compliance.
Viewing number of active cores
iCAP ensures that the number of active cores are equal to the number of usage rights on a
partition. You can view the number of active cores on the partition using the following command:
machinfo
The number of logical processors displayed under the CPU info section is the number of active
cores on the partition.
NOTE: If Hyper-threading is on, the machinfo command reports twice the number of actual
active cores, as logical processors. For example, if the same output as shown below was captured
after turning on Hyper-threading, there would be 14 logical processors reported.

Generating snapshot
An audit snapshot is to be presented at the Utility Pricing Portal while purchasing usage rights
for iCAP resources. The audit snapshot is an encrypted representation of the iCAP resources on
the complex. This can be generated using the icapstatus command as shown below:
icapstatus –s
Sample output:
# icapstatus -s
This audit snapshot string may be presented to the HP Portal or to WTEC in
order to establish the current iCAP state of the complex. The string is an
encrypted and signed representation of the global icapstatus information.
